More NFL players used roids than MLB players. In a study, half of the division 1 college players admitted using steroids in the past. Running a few cycles a few years ago qualifies as using roids even though its no longer detectable.

I agree with the first part, disagree with the second. Not every sport has as bad of problems as those three, and I appreciate you recognizing that the NHL doesn't have any major problems like those other three. Very Happy

We are talking about real sports, hell swimming is more of a sport then Hockey.

Both of those sports are probably up there when your talking about hard sports to play.

Strap on some skates then big shot.

And have 250+ pound guys flying at you while trying to shoot a puck around some guy who covers a good 80% of the already small net. Dope's just upset because the only team around him absolutely blows Laughing

i guess thats true the nhl image is pretty high. thats probably because of the lack of interest here in the states..they are good at keeping a good image but bad a publicizing the sport after the strike.

Maybe if ESPN would get off of its high horse and take a handful of games per year like they do with every other sport (minus the NFL)... And you can't say that the NHL as a whole sucks at publicizing; the Penguins have renewed 99% of their season ticket holders from last year, and all of their home games have been sold out since 2006 (most games they are around 101-102% capacity). They just need to drop a handful of teams (Tampa Bay, Carolina, Florida, Arizona just to name a few) and have more outdoor games.

thats the penguins and their arena doing the publicizing not the NHL..i have the nassau coliseum 5 minutes away from me, where the islanders play, and they advertise pretty damn good. but the nhl has to make things like the all star game and playoffs something like it used to be. i remember when i was like 10 the day before the all star game they had the skills competition and i would wait for that day for months lol. i used to love watching the golies shoot the length of the ice to score goals. atleast the stanley cup was sick this year and hopefully espn does pickup some games. they should get nhl live back and pick a random night like a thursday to televise games.
