this is true. they can run the ball, and they can stop the run. All they really need now is a decent qb. They have almost all other bases covered. They have a ton of cap room too, so hopefully they pick a vet qb in the off-season up and a stud rookie qb out of college would be nice also.
They cannot waste Peterson's talent and not get a qb to compliment the running game. |
They need 1 big play WR to open up the the run just a bit more. Their QB's are young and will become better.Just 1 big play WR and it opens the running game like crazy. I will stress this very much to all viking fans. Like reggie bush teams will figure him out next year and with out a passing game they will shut him down. |

I agree, a wr or two wouldn't hurt either, nor would another decent de and offensive guard/tackle for that matter. I am just saying, their most glaring need is at qb.
Teams are putting 8 and 9 in the box now, and its not shutting him down very often. I will agree that his effectiveness may be a tad toned down in the future when they think they know how to stop him, but the vikings just bulk up with tony richardson, jim kleinsasser, and a great line and a hole will be there somewhere most of the time. And if there isn't a hole, he jumps over the line....LOL, I saw that crazy shit agains the eagles! He ran up to the line only to find a mass of hog-mollies so he hurdles and landed on his feet on the other side, took a step or two, then smashed into the lb for another few yards. The guy is amazing. Don't worry, I know he won't run for 200+ every week, but be honest, he looks unbelievable._________________ "If you are not a liberal at 20, you have no heart.
