Coach K gets 800

Coach K became only the 6 mens coach to ever win 800. Good job from the Hall of Fame coach on this accomplishment. Playing in the greatest basketball conference in the land is hard to do nd to win the majority of his 800 in that conference is awesome. Did it in less time than the so-called great Michealanglo Dean Smith. Now i he needs is to pass Dean in wins nd he will have accomplished more than he did in his long career at UNC. Go ahead and hate on the Hall of Famer cuz i know you guys cant resist.

He has coached in the toughest conference ever assembled in college hoops for 25 years nd deserves all the credit for what he accomplished. Wooden didnt even win 800 but you put him in the same class as all the others that won 800. All Wooden has is more National Championships and i believe if 16 teams made the tourney now, Coach K would have 5 or 6 National Championships. Not just 3. Name a team that played UCLA 2 times a year that was ranked in the top 10 nationally. You cant cuz UCLA played in a piss poor baketball conference at a time when the game had no other competition besides Kentucky. The greatest college hoops coaches ever all coached an ACC School not a Pac-10 school.

The Big East is the best conference in College Basketball.

ACC is second. Its a great conference to play in no doubt but as far as being the most competative its not. They have the same 3 teams dominating every year. It gets so much talk because the Duke V UNC rivalry is always a GREAT game to watch no matter if one team is better then the other its ALWAYS a GREAT game.

I understand you are going to stand by your comments but you dont even want to give credit where credit is due. You only talk about duke and coach K you fail to trelize that there have been better coachs and teams in college basketball. You fail to give the respect to ppl who paved the way for Coach K. Get a team and bleed their colors and maybe you'll see why i defend my team and the conference they play in. Defending your team is great but I never said they wer a terrible team same goes for the conference. Again you know nothing

lol its about time i put my opinions into this..i dont compare coaches from different time periods as the game has changed but i dont think you can put coach k infront of wooden or vice versa, different games. anyway over the years the acc has been the dominant conference but things have changed. the big east has added more teams and thus comes more competition. most people seem to be blinded by the lower tier teams like south florida and st. johns but the big east is deep. i dont know if i can say they are better overall but everygame is a dogfight in the bigeast and that will defiently help them in the long run.

i actually support it for basketball as its more predictable on whos going to be good. look at all those high-school players that just leave playing varsity ball and just go straight to the NBA..someone like beasley is bound to make an impact in his first few years in the nba if not his first.
